New Director of Football Operations

The Gridiron Victoria Board and Chairman Daniel Noonan are thrilled that to announce that David Murphy will be taking on a role as an elected Director in 2020.

David played over 12 years across three different states (QLD-Stingrays, SA-Razorbacks & VIC-Western Crusaders & Warriors) always on defense as LB/DE.

Professionally he has led teams and projects across sales, strategy & operations. Currently leading Growth & Retention for Belong.

David has 3 boys under 3 that keeps him both young and busy.

New Club Development Director

The Gridiron Victoria Board and Chairman Daniel Noonan are thrilled that to announce that Thomas Prince will be taking on a role as an appointed Director in 2020.

Thomas will be taking on the newly created role as the Club Development Director, He will be working closely with our 12 clubs to ensure that they are using best practices when it comes to recruiting, sponsorship, local funding, coaching and administration.

Social Media Policy

As announced last week, Gridiron Victoria held its 36th Annual General Meeting last night at The Market Hotel, South Melbourne, appointing its new Chairman, Daniel Noonan.

Whilst the Board is aware of comments made in relation to the Western Crusaders Gridiron Club during the commentating of the 2019 Men’s Vic Bowl, it does not condone nor support these comments or any other breaches of Gridiron Victoria policies. Moving forward, and under the direction of the new Chairman, Daniel Noonan, the Board will be taking a zero-tolerance approach to any conduct in breach of Gridiron Victoria policies.

The board has made to decision to hand down suspensions to the members involved, which they have accepted.

It now looks to the future and would like to take this opportunity to remind the Gridiron Victoria community of their responsibilities as players, coaches, spectators and/or affiliates.

New Director of Junior Football

Gridiron Victoria Chair Daniel Noonan has welcomed the appointment of Andy Nillson to the role of Director of Junior Programs, saying he will bring fresh approaches that will further improve sporting outcomes

Andy has over 25 years experience in Production Management and holds a Degree in Political Science and Masters in Public Affairs. His experience in both his professional and sporting life will be an invaluable addition to the board.
