Josh Faure appointed HC for Junior Eagles

Gridiron Victoria is proud to announce Coach Josh Faure has been appointed as Head Coach of the Victorian Junior Eagles for 2022 and their upcoming 2023 National Championships.

Coach Faure is an incredibly experienced Head Coach within Gridiron Victoria, and has spent stints at High Schools in California and Florida as a Quarterback and Lineman Coach. He also represented Australia in the 2015 World Championship in Canton, Ohio as an Offensive Lineman.

2021 Champions

It was a long time coming but the 2021 season (Finished in 2022) has come to an end and Gridiron Victoria have crowned the champions.

The Western Crusaders have taken out their 4th championship in a row by winning Vic Bowl XXXVI over the Croydon Rangers.

The Crusaders also tasted success in the division two championship with a win over the Northern Raiders.

The Under 19 competition was won by the Geelong Buccaneers over the Croydon Rangers and in the Under 16 competition the Croydon Rangers won the championship.

Congratulations to all teams, we can’t wait for the 2022 season.

New Director of Junior Football

Gridiron Victoria Chair Daniel Noonan has welcomed the appointment of Andy Nillson to the role of Director of Junior Programs, saying he will bring fresh approaches that will further improve sporting outcomes

Andy has over 25 years experience in Production Management and holds a Degree in Political Science and Masters in Public Affairs. His experience in both his professional and sporting life will be an invaluable addition to the board.

Victorian Under 19’s 2019 State Team Announced!

Gridiron Victoria and Head Coach Daniel Noonan are proud to announce the 2019 under 19s Colts team which will be traveling to New South Wales to take part in the Gridiron Australia National Championships.

Colts Head Coach Announcement

Gridiron Victoria is excited to announce Daniel Noonan as the head coach of the Victorian Eagles Colts (U19). The team that will take part in the Gridiron Australia National Championship to be held during 2019 in New South Wales.

Daniel coached the Victorian Colts during the 2011 National Championships and his resume includes a pivotal role in six VIC BOWL Championships as a coach (three Colts, two Women’s, and one Senior Mens).

“We are excited to see what Daniel can do with the 2019 Victorian Eagles, he brings a wealth of experience to the role” said Gridiron Victoria President Peter Steve.

“I could not be more proud to lead the Eagles into a National Championships. I  look forward to bringing the Eagles back to the national stage, following in the footsteps of the Men’s and Women’s teams from earlier in the year” said Daniel Noonan.

On behalf of Daniel Noonan, Gridiron Victoria would like to call for expressions of interest from Players, Assistant Coaches and Sideline Staff who would like to be a part of the 2019 program.
