The 2013 Senior Gridiron Victoria season will kick off May 4th and 5th in a 15 week season (12 games / 3 byes) with the 2013 TGI Friday’s Vic Bowl on the weekend of August 24/25. The 2013 Gridiron Victoria Senior season comprises two divisions:

Division One
Monash Warriors, Geelong Buccaneers, Western Crusaders, Croydon Rangers, Berwick Miners

Division Two
Melbourne Uni Royals, Monash Barbarians, Northern Raiders, Gippsland Gladiators, Bendigo Dragons, Ballarat Falcons

The competition will see each team play twice within their division and a total of four cross-divisional games, all for points as each division is contesting for a division title.

The Croydon Rangers have defeated the Monash Warriors 34-0 to win the 2012 TGI Friday’s Junior Vic Bowl last Sunday 2nd December at Ranger Field (map) in Springfield Avenue Croydon.

Full back #23 Austin Golden for the Rangers was named Vic Bowl MVP.

Special curtain raiser saw the Western Foxes Women’s Gridiron team scrimmage go down to the wire with the offense winning on a late, long touchdown run 14-6.

Following a fantastic  regular season, we were down to four teams left with a shot at the 2012 TGI Friday’s Junior VIC BOWL crown.

In the 1st Semi Final, an incredible match saw scores tied at 28 with less than a minute remaining when the Warriors pulled off a stunning reverse pass for a 40 yard touchdown for the win.

Monash Warriors defeat Berwick Miners 36-28

In the 2nd Semi Final, the Croydon Rangers were simply too strong for the Buccaneers.

Croydon Rangers defeat Bay City Buccaneers 58-0

The 2012 Gridiron Victoria Junior season comprises six teams:

Bay City Buccaneers, Croydon Rangers, Monash Warriors, Western Crusaders, Berwick Miners, Northern Raiders.

If you wish to play juniors, it is not too late and you should contact us now! In order to play juniors, you must be at least 14 years of age by the 30th of September 2012 and under 18 years of age by the 1st of January 2012.

Also making history in 2012, the Western Foxes Women’s Gridiron Team will play a series of intra-club matches in their inaugural season. The Foxes are for 18 years+ women and are part of the Western Crusaders in Footscray.

The final round of the 2012 Gridiron Victoria Juniors and two big contests down in Corio everyone will be watching.

On Saturday 17th November the Bay City Buccaneers hosted the Western Crusaders at The Cove in Hendy Street Corio.

The Buccaneers won the game, will finish 4th and advance to the playoffs!

The Monash Warriors defeated the Berwick Miners 18-14 in a preview of the 1st semi final where these two teams will playoff again next Saturday.

Sunday at Ranger Field the Croydon Rangers defeated the Northern Raiders 52-0.
