Bay City Buccaneers are 2011 Junior Vic Bowl Champions!

Congratulations to the Bay City Buccaneers who won the 2011 Junior Vic Bowl, defeating the Croydon Rangers 16-14 in a close, thrilling match at Ranger Field in Croydon.
The Buccaneers have now completed the championship double in 2011 as the senior side also defeated the Rangers earlier in the year.
Young star Tom Bean was awarded the Vic Bowl MVP for his dominant role on both sides of the ball. The Buccaneers scored on their opening drive, then returned an interception to the house for a 16-0 lead early in the game, a lead they never surrendered.
Congratulations to the players, coaches and staff at the Buccaneers on a great win.

Buccaneers and Raiders are Vic Bowl Champions!
Congratulations to the Bay City Buccaneers who won the Division One Vic Bowl 34-14 over the Croydon Rangers and the Northern Raiders who won the Division Two Vic Bowl 18-6 over the Gippsland Gladiators.
We will have some photos and match stats up soon!
Thanks to the Melbourne Aces Baseball Club for their support! Maverick, the mascot of the Melbourne Aces Baseball Club along with some of their players and supporters were in attendance at the Vic Bowl.
With Buccaneer Bill, the mascot of the Buccs also there to cheer on his team, a QB and punting competition took hold as the two mascots size each other up.

Gridiron Victoria Senior Preliminary Finals 2011
Congratulations to the Bay City Buccaneers and the Gippsland Gladiators who won their respective preliminary finals and are into the Vic Bowl.
The Buccaneers defeated the Warriors 8-6 and will face the Croydon Rangers in the division one Vic Bowl. The Gladiators defeated the Croydon Rangers2 9-0 and will play the Northern Raiders in the division two Vic Bowl.
Division One Preliminary Final
Bay City Buccaneers defeated Monash Warriors 8-6
Saturday 20th August 1pm @ Corio Community Reserve, Hendy Street Corio
Division Two Preliminary Final
Gippsland Gladiators defeated Croydon Rangers2 9-0
Sunday 21st August 1pm @ Maryvale Reserve, Grant Street Morwell

Gridiron Victoria Week 15 – 13/14 August
The 2011 regular season is over and we now head to the finals!
On Saturday 13th August in Reservoir, the Northern Raiders defeated the Croydon Rangers2 16-0 and booked a place in the Vic Bowl.
In the afternoon, the Gippsland Gladiators defeated the Ballarat Pioneers 49-0 and booked themselves a home final next weekend.
On Sunday, the Bay City Buccaneers defeated the Berwick Miners 40-0 in preparation for their home final next weekend.
In the afternoon the Monash Warriors overcame the Western Crusaders 22-14 and set up a big showdown with the Buccaneers next week. For the Crusaders and Miners, the season is over.
