Juniors Week 2 Preview

After the Miners, Crusaders and Warriors all enjoyed Week One victories, it’s now time to look ahead to the second round!

Make sure you get along to Ranger Field (Springfield Avenue, Croydon) tomorrow:

First up, two unbeaten teams go head to head – the Monash Warriors take on the Berwick Miners at 10am.

Following at 12:45pm, which team will be able to kickstart their 2013 season? When the Geelong Buccaneers VS the Northern Raiders.

And in the final game of the day, the Croydon Rangers do battle on their home turf against the unbeaten Western Crusaders at 3:30pm!

Junior Season – Week One

The 2013 junior season has begun and with three opening round games that were close for the majority of the day, it’s set a precedent for a fantastic competition this season.

First up: the Monash Warriors defeated the 2012 Vic Bowl Champions the Croydon Rangers 28-20, in a tight contest.

In the middle game, the Western Crusaders defeated the Geelong Buccaneers 33-18 and in the final game of the day, the Berwick Miners edged out the Northern Raiders, 38-24.

Croydon Rangers are 2012 Junior Gridiron Victoria Champions!

The Croydon Rangers have defeated the Monash Warriors 34-0 to win the 2012 TGI Friday’s Junior Vic Bowl last Sunday 2nd December at Ranger Field (map) in Springfield Avenue Croydon.

Full back #23 Austin Golden for the Rangers was named Vic Bowl MVP.

Special curtain raiser saw the Western Foxes Women’s Gridiron team scrimmage go down to the wire with the offense winning on a late, long touchdown run 14-6.

Junior Semi Finals


Following a fantastic  regular season, we were down to four teams left with a shot at the 2012 TGI Friday’s Junior VIC BOWL crown.

In the 1st Semi Final, an incredible match saw scores tied at 28 with less than a minute remaining when the Warriors pulled off a stunning reverse pass for a 40 yard touchdown for the win.

Monash Warriors defeat Berwick Miners 36-28

In the 2nd Semi Final, the Croydon Rangers were simply too strong for the Buccaneers.

Croydon Rangers defeat Bay City Buccaneers 58-0
