Congratulations to Mark Petana on 200 games

Mark Petana Berwick Miners

This weekend, club stalwart Mark Petana will play game number 200 for the Berwick Miners Gridiron Club.

Mark will become only the 6th person to reach this exclusive club in the 31 year history of Gridiron Victoria.

“Mark embodies what every coach wants from a player” said Miners Head Coach & GV State Director of Coaching Mel Martin. “Courage, great club leadership and ability. Fierce on the field, a true gentleman off.” he added.

The milestone is all the more impressive as a typical season comprises only 12-13 games, indicative of the incredible dedication and endurance required to play this game for so long.
