Senior Men’s Week 3 Results

Royals vs Rangers
Week 3 kicked off down in Geelong with the undefeated Ballarat Falcons defeating Pakenham Silverbacks 15-12. Following at 1:30 is the battle of the undefeated division one 2-0 teams with the Geelong Buccaneers defeating the South Eastern Predators 41-7.  The Buccaneers are solid on both sides of the ball whilst the Predators defense has not give up any points in 2 games this season in what should be the match of the round.

Also Saturday in Croydon the division two matchup saw the Gippsland Gladiators defeat the Melbourne Uni Lions 58-6 who are looking for their first win of the year. This was followed by the afternoon battle that saw the Croydon Rangers get past the Melbourne Uni Royals 28-0.

On Sunday we headed to Endeavour Hills with the Monash Warriors too strong for the Bendigo Dragons 44-6 in the early game, followed by the visiting Monash Barbarians beating the Berwick Miners 28-8.

Also Sunday in Footscray the Western Crusaders overpowered the Northern Raiders 25-0.

Senior’s Week 2 – Saturday 10th May

Buccaneers vs Barbarians

All six games in week 2 are on Saturday as we enjoy Sunday off for Mother’s Day.

Saturday @ LE Cotchin Reserve, Massey Avenue Reservoir (Google Map)

First up it’s a couple of massive matchups starting with the Bendigo Dragons defeating Melbourne Uni Royals 24-6. Dragons fought hard all day in trying conditions last week whilst the Royals lost on the last play of the day. For one of these teams to go so close and be 0-2 by Saturday night will be a tough pill to swallow.

The afternoon game saw the Northern Raiders lost to the South Eastern Predators 15-0. The Raiders came back hard against the Barbarians and will be keen to atone for loss whilst the Predators are coming off a shutout in their first ever match. Should be a ripper.
