2015 Gridiron Australia Junior Nationals Invite Squad

2015 Junior Nationals Perth The Victorian junior players selected to train for the 2015 Junior Victorian Eagles campaign to travel to Perth, April 4-11 2015 for the Gridiron Australia Junior National Championships.

Head Coach John Granat and Team Manager Mark Levin have worked with the Head Coaches of each club to define the train on squad as we look to capitalise on our biggest and best Junior season ever here in Victoria with a National Title next year.

U19’s Junior Development Camp: Sunday June 22nd

Under 19s Junior Development Clinic Gridiron Victoria is proud to announce that we are hosting a Junior development camp for all new and returning under 19 players. The day will consist of 2 clinics. The first being a basic skills development clinic, followed by a BBQ lunch. Then in the afternoon a High Performance clinic.

These clinics are free for all to attend and we encourage anyone looking to begin playing our great sport to attend and learn.

10am – 12 midday: Gridiron Fundamentals Clinic
12midday – 1pm: BBQ lunch provided
1pm – 3pm: Gridiron Skills Development Clinic
3pm – 4pm: High Performance Clinic
4pm – 5pm: Controlled scrimmage (for players with previous experience only)

Juniors Week 2 Preview

After the Miners, Crusaders and Warriors all enjoyed Week One victories, it’s now time to look ahead to the second round!

Make sure you get along to Ranger Field (Springfield Avenue, Croydon) tomorrow:

First up, two unbeaten teams go head to head – the Monash Warriors take on the Berwick Miners at 10am.

Following at 12:45pm, which team will be able to kickstart their 2013 season? When the Geelong Buccaneers VS the Northern Raiders.

And in the final game of the day, the Croydon Rangers do battle on their home turf against the unbeaten Western Crusaders at 3:30pm!

Junior Season – Week One

The 2013 junior season has begun and with three opening round games that were close for the majority of the day, it’s set a precedent for a fantastic competition this season.

First up: the Monash Warriors defeated the 2012 Vic Bowl Champions the Croydon Rangers 28-20, in a tight contest.

In the middle game, the Western Crusaders defeated the Geelong Buccaneers 33-18 and in the final game of the day, the Berwick Miners edged out the Northern Raiders, 38-24.

Gridiron Australia Junior Nationals Championships April 16-20

The 2013 Gridiron Australia Junior National Championships will be held at Greenway Stadium, South of Canberra from 16^th to 20^th April.

TOURNAMENT UPDATE

Game 3: Playoff for 5th

The Eagles have finished the tournament in 5th place, defeating the ACT Monarchs 20-6 in the final game of the Junior Nationals.
