Director – Emerging Programs

Gridiron Victoria are looking to appoint a Director for Emerging Programs (Appointed – Non-Executive Director)

As a Gridiron Victoria board member, the Emerging Programs Director (Appointed) is responsible for the development and ongoing management of Gridiron Victoria’s emerging programs, making Gridiron accessible to a wider demographic.

Performance Activities:
-Develop and implement Gridiron Victoria’s emerging programs plan
-Liaise with Communication Director on marketing plan for emerging programs
-Assist in the seeking of funding and sponsorship for GV emerging programs
-Provide clubs with tools to administer flag, youth contact, disability, junior, senior and women’s programs
-Assist in the coordination of State Competitions in conjunction with the State Competitions Director
-Create pathways for non-playing participants in the sport
-Report monthly to the board on progress against plan for the emerging programs

It is a requirement that all interested parties hold or at least, can successfully attain the Victorian Working with Children Check. This role is a voluntary position although all reasonable “out of pocket” pre-approved expenses will be reimbursed.

The role involves attending board meetings (nine per year) in person at an appointed office in Melbourne CBD or via teleconference. The time commitment for meetings would be on average two hours per month and more for ongoing planning and delivery for your assigned portfolio.
